I am thankful for the exciting, happy times that I have. It is wonderful to experience mountain top highs and genuine joys in life. Every good moment comes with it’s painful chaser…I can’t tell Jana about this.
Every little thing, or big thing, is something that you want to share with the one you love. I had many years of visiting about life with the one I loved. It was important for me to listen to her experiences and I loved sharing mine with one who cared.
Friends are good to talk with, but, as many who are married would attest, there’s not a person closer than your spouse. The two people that become ‘one’ know each other and, the longer you spend together, know what their mate is thinking. I can reflect on things that happen in my life now and I know what Jana would say or how she would react.
What wonderful closeness with another human being! This relationship is to be cherished and nurtured. Not because you may not have it one day, but, because Godly, unconditional love for your spouse is God’s design and joy for your life.
Who can find a wife of noble character? She is far more precious than jewels.
A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a wife who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones.
Jana was a joy to me, worth more than precious jewels! I was a joy to her, too. For this, I am thankful. We enjoyed doing ‘life’ together; sharing our stories, confessing our shortcomings, and spurring each other on to righteousness.
My life is taking on a new look and texture. The sensation of the vanishing fabric of what was still lingers on my fingers. The tears are too large and too plentiful to patch, new fabric must be sewn. I’m working on it… With the Lord’s help, I will continue to pull together my various scraps and create something meaningful again.
